- Unlock the domain at your current registrar if the extension requires it.
- Request the authorisation code or transfer password.
- Start the transfer through your BladeHOST account.
- Keep your current nameservers in place so your website and email continue to point to the same services.
Will my website go offline?
Normally, no. A registrar transfer changes who manages the registration. It does not automatically change the DNS or hosting. Keep the nameservers unchanged and your website can continue operating during the transfer.
How long does it take?
Many international domain transfers take several days. UK domain transfers can work differently depending on the extension and registry process. Start before the domain is close to expiry wherever possible.
